Job Summary

A Business Development Executive in NEFIN is responsible for building our company’s business pipeline. Primary duties include identifying business opportunities, building, and maintaining successful relationships with prospects and existing clients, collaborating with executives on business strategy to determine objectives, evaluating current business performance and maximizing business reach and potential. You will account for achieving set capacity target, revenue target and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify & develop new business opportunities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with strategic business partners
  • Cooperate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver new business and pursue business opportunities to their maximum potential
  • Conduct techno-commercial analysis and prepare business proposals for potential clients and internal stakeholders
  • Identify timely new opportunities in the form of the tenders and RFQs, work on submissions and attraction of right partners
  • Scout new markets and identify new business opportunities, propose and execute market entry modes
  • Take on ad-hoc projects as instructed by the Headquarters

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Business
  • At least 2 years of experience working in B2B industry in BD or other commercial function with focus on a designated region, preferably with work experience in energy-related sector especially PV
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical mindset, ability to convert facts into insights
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proven proactive approach to business development
  • Ability to work autonomously and multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills, Savvy user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Persuasive communicator
  • Fluency both in oral and written English & Mandarin

Job Summary

A M&A/Business Development Analyst in NEFIN will get hands on experience in renewable energy development and investment, exposure to senior management, work/career flexibility, and fast track promotion/career development for overachievers. This position will be based in NEFIN Taipei office (with some flexibility for work from home arrangements), with scope to travel across Taiwan on project-by-project basis. Role can be expanded regionally, as required.


Key Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the Chief Investment Officer (Taiwan Based), and wider NEFIN team in originating, performing due diligence, financial analysis, and commercial negotiations on potential renewables development and investment projects
  • This includes attending meetings (taking of minutes), running and amending financial models, and assisting in preparing PowerPoint presentations, investment committee papers, and documentation of commercial agreements with key stakeholders
  • Involvement in and exposure to the development/permitting and construction phases of projects.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Energetic, hungry, and determined individuals looking to make an impact on NEFIN’s future and the fast-growing renewable energy industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Engineering
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin
  • With 1-2 years’ work experience in Big Four, corporate/investment banking or its equivalent
  • Exceptional ability to learn fast, ability to think outside of the box, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong all-rounder that is highly numerical, have high emotional quotient with ability to handle stress/fast paced environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule and ensure execution of daily, weekly and monthly activities to ensure smooth operations of a solar power plant
  • Takes the responsibility of monitoring the performance of solar power plant on a day-to-day basis and must be available for immediate field trips in case of any fault recovery
  • Regular monitoring and inspection
  • Preventive and Corrective maintenance
  • Co-ordinate with OEM vendors for equipment maintenance
  • Travel to project sites and vendor locations as assigned to perform all aspects of on-site installation, repair, maintenance, oversight, and modifications as required
  • Provide timely written review reports from field operation, status, and constructive feedback as requested

Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient on MS Office, AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of Operation & Maintenance of HT Equipment (such as Electrical insulators, Electrical Circuit Breakers, Electrical Isolator, Electrical Current Transformer, Electrical Potential Transformer and Electrical MCB)

Other Requirements & Expectations
  • Should be ready for field visits
  • Should be flexible to perform installation role if needed
  • Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours
